Wolves fans are hoping for a huge summer after the club’s relegation, and the rumour mill has already gone into overdrive.
There is a lot to be done, and the club are preparing for a full-scale rebuild after dropping into the Championship.
Player sales are inevitable, but there is reason to believe that Wolves can build a very competitive squad.
Who should Nathan Shi and Matt Jackson be looking to bring in at Wolves this summer? 🤔
Let's hear your suggestions – and they don't have to be any of the four players pictured!
And the summer looks to be off to a decent start, with Kieran Trippier set to complete a free transfer to Molineux after agreeing a deal last week.
And Raul Jimenez has opened the door to a return, and that would delight a great many people.
Jimenez signing would potentially have a transformative impact, and many are hoping that the Mexican comes back for a second spell.
But there’s another former Wolves player out there who may also make a really smart addition.
John Ruddy becomes free agent

Newcastle have confirmed via their website that several players will leave them when their contracts expire this summer, Trippier being one.
But also on their list of players to leave is John Ruddy, who spent two seasons with the club.
Ruddy actually confirmed his exit himself a few days ago, and now he is looking for a new club as he is not yet retiring.
It has been reported this week by the E&S that Wolves are looking to revamp their goalkeeping department this summer.
Jose Sa is highly likely to leave as he doesn’t want to play in the Championship.
Sam Johnstone is also apparently likely to go.
Wolves fans, how do you honestly rate Jose Sa’s five-year spell at Wolves?
We suspect not everyone will agree about him… 😅
That would leave only Dan Bentley, who has a lot of Championship experience.
Anthony Patterson has been linked with Wolves, so potentially he may come in as the new number one.
But Ruddy might make sense as a number three.
Wolves should explore Ruddy return
Ruddy previously spent five seasons at Molineux, playing as the number one in 2017/18 to help Wolves get promoted to the Premier League.
He then spent the next four years as the back-up to Rui Patricio and then Sa.
He may have largely played a supporting role during his last spell, but Ruddy was widely regarded as a huge leader in the dressing room, and was someone everyone respected.
Bruno Lage had said shortly before Ruddy left that he wanted to keep him, admitting: “I want him to stay. He’s a big professional. I haven’t given him anything because he deserved to play that game against Norwich. I gave him a chance to play because he deserves to play more. Every time he plays, he plays well.”

Wolves had initially offered him an extension, but Ruddy claimed that this was then rescinded, leading to his exit.
If there is no ill-feeling on his side, then Wolves should surely see about trying to get him back, since he seemingly has no plans to retire just yet.
Matt Jackson talked about signing leaders this summer, and Ruddy arriving as well as Trippier would be two big steps in the right direction.
