The Wolverhampton Wanderers academy has produced a number of star players throughout the club’s history. But who are Wolves’ current group of Under-21 prospects striving to make it to Molineux?
First-team manager Julen Lopetegui has a few of the West Midlands side’s previous academy players in his Wolves squad. Young hopefuls Hugo Bueno and Joe Hodge made their senior set-up following spells in their category-one status academy. Joleon Lescott and Robbie Keane are also past alumni.
The club’s latest clutch of talented youngsters play in the Premier League 2 Division 1. James Collins took over as the lead coach of Wolves’ academy side in January 2020. The Black Country natives also play their reserve games at Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggborough Stadium and occasionally Molineux.
