Wolves fans are hopeful of a productive summer ahead of playing in the Championship, and there has been a fair bit of talk about Rodrigo Gomes lately.
The work is now underway at Wolves, with Nathan Shi, Matt Jackson and Rob Edwards looking to prepare as best as possible for a potentially very challenging season.
The aim is to get promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Who should Nathan Shi and Matt Jackson be looking to bring in at Wolves this summer? π€
Let's hear your suggestions β and they don't have to be any of the four players pictured!
But to do that, good recruitment will be essential. Quite simply, there cannot be a repeat of last year.
But all the right noises have been made so far, and there appears to be a collective determination to build a great squad.
Indeed, Andre recently confirmed Edwards has told him he wants to build a competitive squad.
But while itβll be important to bring in new players, Edwards also needs to keep some who can really make a difference.
Rodrigo Gomes could fall into this category β and the winger looks up for the fight.
Rodrigo Gomes wants to help Wolves back to the Premier League

Ahead of Wolvesβ final game of the 2025/26 season, Rodrigo Gomes had hinted he was ready to stick around at Molineux for next season.
He said: βLike I said before, the club is very big and I know weβre going to do everything to come back as fast as possible, and if the club believes in me and if I stay, I will do everything to help the team come back up.β
But then last week, Rodrigo had stated that he had not spoken to his agent about things. The suggestion was still that he was leaning towards staying, but that he didnβt fully know.
That caused a bit of alarm within the fanbase.
But Rodrigo has now given a third hint about his future β and thankfully, his latest one is a bit more emphatic.
He said (via E&S): βIt has been difficult but we need to look at this season and learn, and try to improve for next season.
βI will do everything to help the club get back to the Premier League. They deserve to be in the Premier League.β
That suggests he wonβt be going anywhere, and hopefully that will be it now in terms of the updates.
Rodrigo has had interest from Premier League clubs, though, so itβs not out of the question that bids will come in for him.
But Wolves could do with standing firm here, because Rodrigo could really excel in the Championship.
Should Wolves make a move for Raul Jimenez this summer?! π
The former striker has opened the door to a sensational return with his contract about to expire at Fulham!
While itβs a physical league, Rodrigo has fared well enough in the top-flight and shown he can score goals.
He also runs his socks off every time he plays and Wolves could do with having someone like that, especially with Joao Gomes about to leave the club.
And if Wolves re-sign Raul Jimenez, then Rodrigo could get real joy in terms of getting balls into the box.
