Wolves have been linked with Renato Sanches since the closing stages of the summer transfer window.
The club apparently came as close as it is possible to come to landing Sanches without getting it over the line and no sooner had the window closed, they were linked with a January bid.
The latest is that Tottenham and Arsenal have apparently jumped ahead of Wolves in the race for the Portugal international.
And Lille are reportedly expecting Sanches to stay until the end of the season, despite a gentleman’s agreement that he can leave next month if a big offer comes in.
It is clear that some Wolves fans want the deal to get back on track and get over the line when the winter market opens.
They have flocked to Sanches’ most recent tweet, which is seemingly not linked to any result for Lille, to let him know that.
They were possibly inspired by the mention of the words ‘move on’ but there is absolutely no suggestion it relates to transfer speculation.
That did not stop some excited Old Gold fans online using the replies to ask Sanches to swap Lille for Molineux as soon as he can.
It remains to be seen if Wolves come in with the offer required to get Sanches after a summer where they were patient and relatively frugal.
Welcome to Wolves👍
