A lot of Wolves fans are getting behind the idea of Sasa Kalajdzic staying at the club – and one player in particular will surely hope for the same.

Sasa Kalajdzic will soon sit down with Wolves for talks about his immediate future.

How would you feel about Wolves bringing Sasa Kalajdzic back into the fold next season? Would it be wise?

Last season, he played on loan at LASK back in his homeland, and had a very productive spell, helping his side to win two trophies while featuring fairly regularly.

He scored seven goals and made 11 assists for the club, which is a brilliant return.

Kalajdzic has hinted he has unfinished business at Wolves, which may well suggest he is going to stick around.

It was then also claimed that Kalajdzic wouldn’t earn as much elsewhere if he left, again pointing to him staying.

And if that did happen, then Kieran Trippier would surely be delighted.

Of course, Wolves have just brought in Trippier in what was a statement signing.

The club moved for him on a free transfer and, after a bit of concern that he did not like the sacking of Rob Edwards, it has been reported Trippier is very much on board with the appointment of Cesar Peixoto.

As many have pointed out already, Peixoto is big on set-pieces and that is likely to become a new strength for Wolves going forward.

As per Fotmob, Peixoto’s Gil Vicente team scored 17 goals from set-piece scenarios last term, which was better only by league champions FC Porto (18).

Trippier is a player who has excellent delivery, both from corners and free-kicks.

Kalajdzic being 6ft 7in makes him an obvious aerial threat and quite possibly, he’ll be the man Trippier looks for when taking a set-piece.

Another player who may also welcome Kalajdzic staying is Hugo Bueno.

It’s official, Kieran Trippier is a Wolf! 🚨 How important a signing will he be for the club?

Bueno had the most successful open-play crosses of any Premier League player last season (via Premier League), and often his first thought is to try and get the ball into the box.

The only potential problem is that Bueno has a lot of transfer interest and could yet leave this summer.

But Trippier is here and he would surely hope that a big target man like Kalajdzic would stick around. Thankfully, it currently seems like there’s a good chance of that.
