Conor Coady is known for his vocal style of leadership on the pitch for club and country.
He wears the armband for Wolves but not for England but that doesn’t stop him organising the backline on the international stage.
Coady touched on that subject in an interview with the official England podcast.
Scott McTominay said last week that Coady ‘doesn’t shut up’ on the pitch and Coady shared why he does it.

“It’s part of my game,” said Coady of his vocal nature. “I’m a player who tries to help people as much as possible. Players around me and in front of me.
“It makes my game much easier as well – that’s all part of it. I say to quite a lot of people, especially young players – it’s not that hard to speak! It’s not that hard to talk on the pitch, to communicate.
“It’s quite an easy thing to do and it’ll help you a lot on the pitch. It’s just part of my game. I remember I got told by a few people when I got called up, never change, just go in there and talk.
“Do what you do for Wolves. People who are playing with me know they’ve always got that person they can look to for a little bit of help. It’s just something I do quite naturally.”

Coady is one of England’s leaders
England lacked leaders on Friday night against Scotland, as they put out their youngest ever tournament starting 11.
Harry Kane is a leader by example. Jordan Henderson and Harry Maguire are big talkers and then there’s Coady.
He’s quickly established himself as a leader and it’s clear from listening to him talk that he can help out even if he’s not playing.
Gareth Southgate no doubt values that and it must be great for someone playing alongside or in front of Coady to have that person talking them through the game.
