It was a shift in tone from the manager, who had been somewhat defensive of them in the weeks prior.
But there was to be no sugar coating anything last weekend, with the performance clearly way below the standards expected.

Wolves have tasted defeat 24 times so far this season, and fans just want the campaign to end.
But there are still two more games left to play, with the first coming against Fulham this Saturday.
Losing the game does not bear thinking about, but there’s obviously a very good chance it’ll happen.
And that would mean 25th defeat for Wolves, which would equal their all-time most defeats in a single campaign (as per BBC Sport).

There is also another reason for Wolves to not lose this game.
Fulham have never done a league double over Wolves before, with the teams meeting in 46 different campaigns.
The Cottagers beat Wolves 3-0 back in November, with that leading to Vitor Pereira’s sacking the day after.

Wolves have a bit of a mixed bag against Fulham in recent times.
Fulham won the previous two, but Wolves won the two before that.
Regarding the overall record though it’s Wolves who have had the upper hand, winning 47 games. There have been 29 wins for Fulham, and there have been 25 draws.

Fulham still aren’t completely out of the picture for European football and will likely come at Wolves all guns blazing.
If the players put in the same kind of showing against Brighton, then this will obviously be a non-contest.
One can only hope that, with it being the last game at Molineux, the players take some pride and give the fans a performance they have long deserved.
