Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly considering selling Pedro Neto.
That is the claim today from 90min, who say clubs from across Europe have asked about the winger’s availability.
Neto enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2020/21, scoring five goals and making five assists in a side thatg often struggled.
He was often the best player for Wolves in games, and really stepped up in Raul Jimenez’s absence.
It seems his contributions last term have not been ignored.
90min say Liverpool, Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur as clubs to have made enquiries.
The mention of Spurs comes as no surprise given they are now managed by Nuno Espirito Santo, of course.
Wolves are said to be ‘contemplating’ selling Neto, but would only do so for a huge fee.
Right now, of course, Neto is currently out injured.
He’s working his way back to full fitness after breaking his knee cap towards the end of last season.
Neto sale feels unlikely
It’s hard to see Neto leaving Wolves this summer.
There has been a little bit of noise, but he’s someone Bruno Lage will no doubt want to keep a hold of. And Neto may be intrigued about life under him.
Wolves have just brought in Francisco Trincao on loan from Barcelona, and Neto has spoken of his excitement to play with his fellow countryman.
It just feels a little too soon for Neto to be leaving. He only joined in 2019.
Of course, a big offer could well come in, but that injury could well put teams off in this current window.
