Pedro Neto is excited by Wolves’ signing of Francisco Trincao, and believes the star is very good one against one and also has great vision.

Trincao became the club’s second signing of the summer a week ago, much to everyone’s surprise.

He has joined on loan for the 2021/22 season, and Wolves will then have the option to buy for around £25 million.

Trincao will be hoping to prove a point, having struggled a bit for game time last term.

At Wolves he should get some decent minutes, especially with Neto set to miss the start of the season.

Neto is someone who knows newbie Trincao better than most.

The pair grew up in the same hometown and played for the same team in SC Vianense. They then were in the youth ranks at Braga together.

Neto has now spoken about the prospect of playing with Trincao at Wolves, and it’s fair to say he is excited.

He told Wolves TV: “I am very excited.

“First of all we are good friends and I enjoy to play with him on the pitch. He’s a very good guy, and a very good player.

“He has a good mentality. He has a very good vision of the game. He is very good one against one and he is an exciting guy to see. I’m looking forward to seeing him with us.”

Encouraging words from Neto

Neto’s comments should excite Wolves fans.

After all, he knows Trincao well and has seen him in action up close.

The idea of him having a good vision of the game is a positive thing, especially since creativity was lacking last term.

Hopefully, the style Bruno Lage implements will be able to get the most out of Trincao.
