Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has branded Pedro Neto ‘a very talented player’, after another fine display in the Premier League.
Neto put in a lively performance against Tottenham Hotspur, which culminated in him assisting Romain Saiss from a corner to equalise late on.
Wolves were lacking that cutting edge against Jose Mourinho’s side, particularly in the first half, but Neto was a constant menace throughout.
The 20-year-old was always positive and direct, and gave Spurs’ wing-backs the runaround at times.
He came in for a lot of love on social media after the game, and Nuno has joined in with the praise.
He said of the former SC Braga man (Wolves official): “I believe he has a lot of potential to develop. He’s a very talented player.
“I realise that as the season goes by, ups and downs in performances of the players are normal. What we want is to have all the players at the same level of performance. Sometimes it doesn’t happen.
“Neto is doing well now. We expect more from other players, realising that sometimes Pedro is not going to be so involved.”
Neto stock continues to rise
It really was another exciting showing from Neto, who is making a habit of that this season.
He now seems very comfortable in the English top-flight and is playing without fear and always looking to create.
Once the goals and assists start to come more regularly, Wolves will have a top drawer player on their hands.
