A claim about Yerson Mosquera’s future at Wolves has emerged following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
The Old Gold lost their top-flight status on Monday following West Ham United’s draw with Crystal Palace.
Wanderers now drop into the Championship from 2026/27, and there will be big changes to the squad this summer as Wolves prepare for a new challenge.
Wolves fans, talk to us about Yerson Mosquera…
Does his ability and potential make up for the chaos he brings? What kind of level do you see him reaching? 🤔
It was claimed earlier this week that Wolves want nine players to stay and form the core of a new-look squad – and one of those players is apparently Yerson Mosquera.
But it seems the defender could be more likely to leave with a new claim being made about the centre-back.
Wolves have agreement to sell Yerson Mosquera

According to AS Colombia journalist Pipee Sierra via his Instagram account, Wolves have apparently agreed to sell Mosquera this summer.
His words translate from Spanish read that Wolves have ‘agreed with the circle of Yerson Mosquera’ that he will be sold.
Sierra provided a link to the website Estadio Abierto that provides some more detail on the story.
It states that the decision has already been made between Wolves and Mosquera.
His exit to relieve financial burden is apparently the ‘most likely scenario.’
There is no word of any interested clubs in the player, nor is there information regarding any kind of asking price.
The claim is simply that there’s an agreement between Wolves and Mosquera for the player to go.
Premier League clubs want Mosquera
With Premier League clubs said to be eyeing Mosquera, there’s an opportunity here for Wolves to make a healthy profit on the Colombian, who cost around £4.5 million in 2021 (via E&S).
This information from journalist Sierra suggests that Mosquera is likely going to be leaving, but hopefully Wolves will sell for a fee that reflects his quality and potential.
While Mosquera has disciplinary issues, he has clearly proven himself good enough to play in the Premier League, with his physicality and aggression helping him a lot.
We’ll see who comes in for him, and ideally Wolves will be selling for at least double – maybe triple – what they bought him for.
