There will be big changes this summer at Wolves, as the club prepare for life in the Championship.

Despite showing signs of life in recent weeks, Wanderers have simply left themselves too much to do.

This weekend, the club could officially be relegated if certain results happen.

Wolves fans, talk to us about Yerson Mosquera…

Does his ability and potential make up for the chaos he brings? What kind of level do you see him reaching? 🤔

And relegation will then prompt a great number of player exits this summer, as the club look to rebuild ahead of playing in the second tier.

The likes of Joao Gomes and Andre are expected to leave, but plenty more could follow the Brazilian duo out of the club.

And one man who’s now been linked with an exit from Wolves is Yerson Mosquera.

But Wolves may actually already be prepared for any departure for the Colombian.

Nasser Djiga could be a replacement for Yerson Mosquera

It’s been claimed that Premier League interest is mounting in Mosquera.

Despite his lack of discipline at times, it seems he’s made an impression on some top-flight clubs, with journalist Liam Keen saying he has it on ‘good authority’ that Mosquera is admired.

It remains to be seen if Wolves will sell.

Given his profile and style of play, it’d be no surprise if Wolves were reluctant to sell ahead of playing in the Championship.

But if it does happen, then Wolves may already have a decent replacement in the form of Nasser Djiga.

Djiga has been on loan at Rangers this season and after a shaky start, is now looking the part for the Scottish giants.

He’s fared much better since Danny Rohl replaced Russell Martin, and has started four Premiership games, with Rangers winning all of them.

Scottish journalist Graham Falk gave a positive verdict of Djiga, saying: “His biggest strengths are his aggressiveness, and his style of front-foot defending.

“He’s physical and strong, and has improved his composure on the ball, bringing it out of defence.”

But Falk did add that Djiga still needs to work on his concentration.

But those positive remarks suggest he is an ideal replacement for Mosquera, who is best known for his aggression and physicality.

It’s been suggested that Djiga will not be signed permanently by Rangers, with the player likely set to be too expensive for the Scottish giants.

Djiga does have interest from his old club Red Star Belgrade. But with Mosquera potentially on his way, it may be in Wolves’ best interests to keep hold of the Burkina Faso international.

He made a few appearances for the Old Gold last season after joining midway through, and looked uncomfortable.

But his experience in Scotland should prove invaluable, and perhaps Rob Edwards will feel he has something to offer, especially if Mosquera goes.
