Wolves have eyed up a move for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard this summer.
The Telegraph claim that Wolves are one of the Premier League clubs who have considered a bid for the Frenchman.
Crystal Palace, Leicester, West Ham and Brighton are all keen but no bid has been forthcoming yet.
Edouard is into the final year of his Parkhead contract, but Celtic are holding out for £15 million.
Perhaps the interested clubs – including Wolves – are waiting for him to run that deal down and try and get him for free next summer.
Edouard has scored 85 goals in 175 games for Celtic and won seven trophies with the club.
That means that there was some excitement on Twitter when Wolves’ name were mentioned alongside the striker’s.
It seems that plenty still needs to happen for Wolves to formalise their interest, but here’s how the transfer link went down on Twitter:
This would be an excellent signing. I've been wanting Edouard at Wolves for ages!

Whether true or not, I'm surprised no one has gone in for him before.

Apparently Palace had agreed a fee but the wage demands were too high. This should be a simple deal for us to get over the line imo

I know it’s worthless in the real world, but I’ve got a Football Manager game going as Celtic and he tore it up in my first season. 42 goals in all comps and lost him after Man City triggered his release clause. If the actual player is a fraction as good as that then get him in!
