Wolves have already signed Raul Jimenez this summer – and the club could now add a player who the Mexican would surely welcome with open arms.

Wolves fans were left delighted earlier this week when the club tied up a deal to sign Raul Jimenez on a free transfer.

The move had been mooted for a few weeks, and the club then worked quickly to finalise the deal before Jimenez played in Mexico’s first game at the World Cup.

Raul Jimenez has returned! 🚨 Is this a good move by Wolves and how many goals is he bagging in the Championship? 🐺

Then came the sacking of Rob Edwards, which has been controversial in its nature.

But now the dust has settled, fans are now looking ahead.

And it will be truly fascinating to see what Wolves do – and one player who could be on his way back to Molineux like Jimenez is Adama Traore.

Wolves linked with Adama Traore

Football Insider claim that Wolves are exploring a deal to bring back Adama Traore on a free transfer.

The Spaniard is leaving West Ham United, and needs a new club.

Traore left Wolves at the same time as Jimenez in the summer of 2023, and played for Fulham for a couple of years before joining West Ham United.

There is said to be ‘strong competition’ for Traore this summer given his free agent status.

But Wolves will hope a second spell at Molineux will appeal, to a player fans were blown away by at times previously. There is also the Jimenez factor which could play a part.

Traore previously spent five years at Wolves, making 194 appearances for the club.

He scored 14 goals and made 20 assists and arguably, for a player with his attributes, these numbers were a little on the low side.

But at the very least, Traore was a total handful in most games he played and often had multiple defenders on him when he had the ball.

This is a signing that could be good for Wolves, especially since the club have now dropped into the Championship.

And it’s also one that would surely please Jimenez, who had a great relationship with Traore at Wolves before.

The pair combined for 12 goals the last time they were at Wolves together, and also combined for two at Fulham.

It would certainly be fun to see them rekindle that connection on the pitch.
