Rob Edwards has been looking ahead to the new season – and one comment sticks out as fairly encouraging.

The dust has now settled on the 2025/26 campaign, with Wolves finishing bottom of the Premier League and suffering relegation.

It had been on the cards for some time, and fans have been extremely unhappy.

Who should Nathan Shi and Matt Jackson be looking to bring in at Wolves this summer? 🤔

Let's hear your suggestions – and they don't have to be any of the four players pictured!

Raul Jimenez, Kieran Trippier, Jordan James and Nikolas Polster are some of the early links ahead of the summer window opening…

But it’s now time to look forward, and there is a rebuild on the horizon.

Wolves have a huge amount to do to ensure that the squad is well prepared for the Championship, and all eyes will be on Nathan Shi, Matt Jackson and Rob Edwards to deliver.

And the manager has shared one intention that should be welcomed.

The transfer window does not open for another couple of weeks, but fans want to see the club being productive.

And it seems that is the desire for Edwards too, with the manager insisting that he wants business done early this summer.

He said (via E&S): “I want us to look forward, I want everyone to be able to look forward.

“We’ve started with the announcement of Andre staying, which I think is great news for the football club, and we really hope there’ll be more news in the coming weeks soon.

“We want to do business early, we want to build a fresh-look squad and a team that’s going to be good to watch, and will win games of football. We haven’t done that enough this year.”

And it seems like Wolves are indeed already making some moves.

It was reported last Friday that Wolves had agreed to sign Kieran Trippier, and the defender could have his medical this week.

That would represent a positive start, and Wolves must continue to operate with both haste and precision.

Jackson confirmed at the recent Fan Forum at Molineux that the club had some deals in the pipeline.

Should Rob Edwards still be Wolves’ manager for the start of 2026/27 season? 🤔

If not, let us know in the comments who the club should look to replace him with…

So hopefully we do see Wolves doing some deals early in the summer.

What we can’t have is a situation like last year where most of the new signings missed a big chunk of pre-season.

The signings were poor anyway, but they were also made late and this certainly did not help matters.
