Reports in Italy claim that Wolves are interested in signing Amadou Diawara this summer.
Calcio Mercato, via Il Tempo claim that Wolves have made the Roma midfielder an offer.
The 23-year-old is on the market apparently, but the problem for Wolves is he has rejected the proposal.
It remains to be seen whether Diawara can be convinced. The links aren’t the first time Wolves and Roma have been mentioned in the same breath this summer.

Jose Mourinho’s men have been linked with Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio through the summer so far.
Those rumours have ramped up since Portugal were knocked out of Euro 2020 by Belgium.
It’s expected Patricio’s future will be sorted soon. Perhaps if the two clubs are negotiating over two different players, the deals could be combined?
The report says there is no suggestion that’s happening yet – but it’s a prospect which can’t be ruled out when two teams are trying to sign one of each other’s players.

Would Diawara be a good signing?
Diawara is a defensive midfielder with bite and technical ability in equal measure.
That’s something Wolves could do with in their engine room and at 23, Diawara is only going to get better.
But if he’s refused the offer, then it’s not a good start and you don’t really want to sign players who need a lot of convincing to come.
You’d always prefer players who are desperate to come and represent the club and at the moment, Diawara doesn’t look to fall into that category.
