Wolves winger Theo Corbeanu is spending the second half of the season on loan at Milton Keynes Dons and played in a win last night.
They hosted Cheltenham Town, where another Wolves loanee Taylor Perry spent the first part of the campaign before injury, and won 3-1.
Corbeanu set up the third goal of the night for Republic of Ireland international Troy Parrott, notching the first assist of his loan spell.
Corbeanu scored his first MK goal in January’s 2-1 win over Portsmouth and last night was his first start for five league matches.
He certainly took his chance to impress and you can see his pass which laid on the goal by clicking on the video below.
The win leaves Corbeanu’s side third in League 1, on the back of five consecutive league victories, making them real promotion contenders.
They are on the same number of points – 72 – than second placed Wigan, but the Latics have played three games less than MK.
Corbeanu’s men are seven points ahead of Oxford in fourth and 11 clear of Wycombe in seventh so they should be in the play-offs at the very least.
It would be a good way for Corbeanu to end his first season on loan if he could help a team into the second tier, and a happier time than his early-season struggles at Sheffield Wednesday.
