Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White is currently on loan at Sheffield United.
He is already a popular figure at Bramall Lane, establishing himself on the right of Slavisa Jokanovic’s midfield.
My Revenge On Ben Foster
Jokanovic has already made it clear that he want to keep Gibbs-White until the end of the season.
But Wolves have the option to recall Gibbs-White in January, as per the terms of his loan deal.
Wolves recalled Gibbs-White from his loan spell at Swansea in January of last season.
According to the Athletic, no decision has been made yet on whether they will do the same this time around.
That decision will be made closer to Christmas and there are two factors which will influence what Wolves opt to do.
They are Wolves’ form at the time and the midfield options at Bruno Lage’s disposal.
Gibbs-White can play deeper in central midfield and Wolves only have three senior options there at present.
Obviously, he’s playing further forward at Bramall Lane at present, and Wolves have four wide options right now, with Pedro Neto expected to return to something approaching full fitness around the new year.
Gibbs-White will play more often if he stays at Sheffield United, but Wolves won’t want to be exposed in terms of midfield depth while a player of his quality is out on loan.
