Some Wolves fans on Twitter started to panic earlier this week.
Ruben Neves was named among the squad of players who was due to travel to Marbella.
But while international teammates Joao Moutinho and Nelson Semedo had been pictured on the camp, Neves hadn’t been.
Add in the speculation over his future, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all linked, and some supporters jumped to conclusions.
But Neves was spotted yesterday briefly in a training video the club posted on Twitter.
And now they’ve actually uploaded a photo of the Portugal international for the first time on the camp.
He could well play his first game of pre-season this evening when Wolves face Real Betis.
And here’s how the snap of Neves went down with some supporters on Twitter ahead of that game:
- The Vitor Pereira and Tolu Arokodare claim that sums up Wolves’ recruitment ‘mess’
- Ladislav Krejci release clause claim as Leeds target Wolves defender amid relegation
- Wolves look to have made decision on Yerson Mosquera’s future amid relegation
- What Championship clubs have just decided is surely going to please a lot of Wolves fans
- Wolves face making loss on £10m signing, but he should be one of the first sold
