Some Wolves fans on Twitter are praising Rafa Mir’s explosive cameo for Spain earlier.
Spain faced Ivory Coast in the quarter-final of the Olympic football tournament at Tokyo 2020 today.
They eventually ran out 5-2 winners after extra time but it was far from straight-forward.
Manchester United defender Eric Bailly stunned the Spaniards when he bundled home the opening goal after ten minutes.

Reported former Wolves target Dani Olmo made it 1-1 before half-time and that’s how the score stayed until deep into the second half.
In the first minute of stoppage time, former Leeds midfielder Max Gradel put Ivory Coast 2-1 up. Spain were heading out.
But Mir was instantly brought off the bench in response and made the difference straight away.
He pounced on some woeful Ivorian defending to score a dramatic late equaliser and force extra time.

Bailly gave away a penalty in the first half of extra time, which Mikel Oyarzabal coverted to put Spain in command before Mir took over.
He smashed in two goals on the break to confirm Spain’s progress to the semi-finals, where they will face hosts Japan on Tuesday.
Not surprisingly, Mir’s rapid hat-trick caught the eye of some Wolves fans, who had their say on Twitter:
