Raul Jimenez is a Wolves player again, after the club sensationally swooped for the striker on Wednesday night.
The club had been in talks with the player and a move had been on the cards for a few weeks.
But the pursuit was ramped up earlier this week when the club sent officials to meet Raul Jimenez in Mexico, where he is preparing to play in the World Cup.
It was a successful trip, and Jimenez completed his medical out there and did all of his media work with the club.
Late on Wednesday night, Wolves announced that Jimenez had returned, and it’s safe to say there is absolute delight in the fanbase today.
Raul Jimenez to wear iconic number nine shirt after Adam Armstrong gesture

Since the idea of Jimenez returning was floating, a point of discussion has been whether Jimenez could wear the number nine shirt again, as he did in his first spell.
Obviously, Adam Armstrong has been wearing that number since he came to the club earlier this year from Southampton.
He took the shirt as Jorgen Strand Larsen left for Crystal Palace.
But in a very gracious act, Armstrong has decided to vacate the number nine shirt upon learning Jimenez is coming back.
Wolves have confirmed this via their official website, and huge credit must go to Armstrong for not thinking twice about it.
It is a development that will further delight fans, as Jimenez has become synonymous with wearing number nine.
Even when he left he continued to wear that number at Fulham.
Given the overwhelmingly positive response to the new home shirt one would imagine that plenty of supporters will be copping their ‘Raul 9’ jerseys this summer.
This move for Jimenez really is a win for the likes of Rob Edwards Nathan Shi and Matt Jackson, who were all cross-examined by fans at the recent Fan Forum.
All three have talked a lot. But fans have wanted to see action, and so far they are delivering.
Raul Jimenez has returned! 🚨 Is this a good move by Wolves and how many goals is he bagging in the Championship? 🐺
The Mexican returns on a free transfer three years after leaving…
The new contract for Andre, the beautiful new kit, and the free signings of Kieran Trippier and now Jimenez have genuinely improved the mood drastically following relegation from the Premier League.
There is still plenty of work to be done this summer.
But Rob Edwards promised Andre that Wolves would build a competitive squad, and it seems the club are well on the way to doing that.
