Wolves talisman Raul Jimenez was called a ‘cheat’ on Twitter by a Leeds fan after Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
A clip was posted of Jimenez going down and clutching his foot, which angered the supporter.
He directly addressed Jimenez’s reaction to the challenge during a game where the Mexican set up Hwang Hee-Chang’s opening goal.
Jimenez responded personally to the Whites fan, saying that he had in fact been caught.
He had to ice his injury and said that another angle of the incident would show exactly that.
Saturday’s game was a proper battle between two sides who flew into tackles in front of a raucous crowd.
Wolves were unable to hold out for a win as Nelson Semedo gave away a late penalty which was converted by Rodrigo.
That bit of needle carried on off the pitch and onto Twitter, where Jimenez stuck up for himself.
Jimenez was injured in the incident but seemingly is fine after icing the problem and should be fit to face Everton next time around.
