Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Wolves for relegation this season.
On TalkSport, the former Aston Villa striker said: “You know what, I think it could be one of those seasons where the prediction of Wolves to go down could happen.
“They’ve lost players, they’ve lost their goalkeeper, their manager’s left and there’s a lot of teams in the Premier League who will do better than people think.
“Brentford, Watford… they’ll have good seasons because they’ve recruited well.”

Maybe the comments were nothing more than a former Villa man trying to wind up Wolves fans before the season.
But let’s take them in good faith and analyse them. Wolves have sold one player this summer – Rui Patricio – and replaced him with Jose Sa, a goalkeeper with Champions League experience.
Wolves were without Raul Jimenez and the backing of their fans for much of last season and relegation wasn’t a serious danger come the end of the campaign.
They were tipped for relegation on TalkSport before the start of the 2020/21, too.

Unsurprisingly, some Wolves fans have taken to Twitter in anger after hearing the comments.
Here’s what some supporters had to say about Agbonlahor’s prediction:
