Wolves are facing an absolutely huge summer after their relegation to the Championship.

Last night, it was finally confirmed that Wanderers will drop out of the Premier League, after West Ham United drew with Crystal Palace.

Wolves’ relegation has been coming for a long time.

It’s now official – Wolves are relegated from the Premier League after an eight-season stay… 🚨😔

Wanderers fans, where has it all gone wrong and who is to blame the most?!

There was some very brief hope recently as Wolves pulled off surprise wins over Aston Villa and Liverpool.

But Wolves could not sustain the purple patch, and planning is already underway ahead of next season.

And Wolves’ recruitment will be so vital, after they failed so badly last summer.

And it seems Rob Edwards could now reignite interest in a player who has long been linked with Wolves – but the timing could now be right.

Wolves expected to target Che Adams again this summer

According to BBC Sport, Edwards is expected to reignite Wolves’ interest in Che Adams, who is at Torino these days.

The 29-year-old will only have one year left on his deal with the Italian club, and there’s a reasonable chance his club will want to sell.

Adams joined Torino in the summer of 2024, and has scored 17 goals in 71 games for the club to date.

Before his move there though, Wolves had been linked with Adams several times while he was a Southampton player.

But for one reason or another a move never materialised.

Wolves did eventually raid Southampton for a striker, signing Adam Armstrong in January of this year, with Championship football very much in mind.

Potentially, the pair could now form a partnership at Wolves for 2026/27.

Che Adams could be a Tolu Arokodare replacement

The timing could finally be right for Wolves to sign Adams.

He’s been on the club’s radar for some time, and seemingly there remains a desire to bring him in.

Obviously, like Armstrong, he knows the Championship very well, having scored 49 goals in 156 appearances in the competition.

Having two proven scorers in the second tier could really help Wolves push for promotion at the first time of asking.

The claim comes shortly after it was reported that Tolu Arokodare is likely to leave the club, following disciplinary action being taken against him by the club.

Arokodare was involved in a bust-up with Mateus Mane, and it’s been suggested he is set to depart the club, most likely on loan, in the next window.
