Worrying reports emerged last night claiming Tolu Arokodare was involved in a bust-up with Mateus Mane at Wolves.

With the Old Gold on the brink of relegation, it seems that frustrations have boiled over.

The Express & Star reported last night that ‘a disagreement between the two players led to Arokodare being the sole aggressor in an incident with Mane’.

Should Tolu Arokodare play another minute for Wolves after his reported bust-up with Mateus Mane? 🤔

This happened after Wolves’ defeat to West Ham United on April 10. Apparently, ‘players were particularly upset at Arokodare’s behaviour’.

Wolves are said to have already fined the striker, who was in the matchday squad against Leeds United but was not called on by Rob Edwards to play.

Amid the reports, Mateus Mane actually took to social media last night to post about Arokodare.

It seems that this situation may well have been nipped in the bud.

Because Mane took to his Instagram Story last night to actually post a photo of him and Arokodare together from a previous occasion.

The picture shows when Arokodare handed Mane his Player of the Month award, which he won in December (and also January).

Mane has also tagged Arokodare in the post, writing ‘big bro’, with the heart and fingers crossed emoji.

Arokodare has reposted this photo to his own Story, with the heart, star and fingers crossed emojis.

So, seemingly, there is no lasting damage to the pair’s relationship.

It is not yet clear what led to Arokodare being aggressive towards Mane, and it remains to be seen if Edwards will involve the Nigerian in Wolves’ remaining games this season.

Arokodare could now get loan move this summer

As part of the article covering the situation, the E&S suggest that there’s now doubt over Arokodare’s future at the club.

The publication claims that ‘the player is likely to depart this summer if a deal can be reached’. Arokodare did have interest from Fenerbahce in January, so perhaps they might look to come in for him again.

But due to the high price Wolves paid to sign him last summer, it’s most likely that he will depart on loan.

It’s also stated in the report that Arokodare ‘has been involved in other dressing room incidents and arguments throughout the season’, which perhaps makes it no surprise Wolves are now looking to facilitate his exit this summer.
