Wolves have a huge amount to do this summer – and the club appear to have eyes on an exciting attacking talent.
The 2025/26 season is finishing with a whimper, with Wolves having already been relegated weeks ago.
The defeat to Brighton at the weekend was one of the worst of the season, and it prompted Rob Edwards to call out the players.
Should any of these NOT be on this list? And are there any who aren’t there who SHOULD be on? 🤔
The Athletic have claimed Wolves would like these nine players to stay after relegation…
Supporters are merely waiting for this disastrous season to now end.
There will then be an exodus and as a result, a lot of new players coming into the club ready to help Wolves’ promotion bid.
And Wolves now have an eye of an exciting talent playing over in Denmark.
Wolves in talks to sign Aral Simsir
It’s been reported by Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna that Wolves are in the race to sign FC Midtjylland winger Aral Simsir.
He wrote on X yesterday: “Galatasaray, Trabzonspor and Wolverhampton are interested in Aral Şimşir
“Discussions have already taken place with FC Midtjylland over the conditions of a potential transfer.”

The Turkish winger has really caught the eye this term, registering a whopping 12 goals and 20 assists across 52 appearances in total.
The 23-year-old has the most goal contributions of any player in the Danish Superliga, and is inevitably attracting attention going into the summer.
A report from Transfermarkt.tr has stated that previous reports have suggested that FC Midtjylland would expect to sell the player for somewhere between €10-15 million.
Wolves’ next Pedro Neto?

Simsir is clearly an exciting talent. To have made 32 goal contributions in a season is very impressive going.
Wolves have lacked dynamism in the wide areas for a while now, but Simsir could well be a positive addition – and the star does have shades of Pedro Neto about him.
Neto mostly played on the left side for Wolves, although he did sometimes move to the right. Simsir tends to play from the left, but can also take up central positions.
Unlike Neto, he is right-footed so his natural instinct is to come inside.

But he has that same explosive acceleration like the former Wolves man, and also excels at one-vs-one dribbling.
And clearly, he is someone who creates chances at high volume.
Wolves fans will need lifting in a big way next season after what they’ve had to endure in 2025/26 – and Simsir could genuinely be a thrilling addition if he’s ready to embrace the Championship challenge.
