There will be a raft of changes to Wolves’ squad this summer – but what does the future hold for Tolu Arokodare?

The striker was Wolves’ most expensive addition in the 2025 summer window, arriving from Genk for around £25 million.

Who do you think has been the worst signing Wolves made in the 2025 summer window? 🤔

Krejci and Moller Wolfe surely aren't in the mix…

There were high hopes for him given he had finished as the Belgian league’s top scorer.

But unfortunately it wasn’t a good season for Tolu Arokodare, just as it wasn’t for so many of his teammates.

He would score just six goals, with many fans critical of his performances throughout the campaign.

Then the incident with Mateus Mane happened which cast major doubt on his future at the club – but is it now possible he actually may end up staying?

A few weeks ago, Arokodare hit headlines for the wrong Reasons, after it emerged he’d had an altercation with Mane after the West Ham game in April.

Tolu was said to have been the sole aggressor, and his behaviour left staff deeply unimpressed.

It was then suggested that Tolu was likely to move on this summer as a result of the incident.

But Tolu appears to have now cast doubt on that happening with an end-of-season post on Instagram, with the end of his message particularly interesting.

He said: “A tough season for all of us, but feeling your support while you stuck with is this season is something I don’t take for granted.

“I’ve had some great personal moments and it makes me proud to have shared them with you all. Thanks for your Wolves, see you next season 🙏🏾🐺”

‘See you next season’ would suggest there are no current plans for him to move on, and that he will be a part of Wolves’ push to get out of the Championship.

Should any of these NOT be on this list? And are there any who aren’t there who SHOULD be on? 🤔

The Athletic have claimed Wolves would like these nine players to stay after relegation…

The prayers emoji could also suggest that Tolu is simply wishing that he sees Wolves fans next season.

But it seems a potentially ominous thing to write, and we’ll soon see just how significant it is.

Of course, Wolves have already been linked to new strikers, with Raul Jimenez opening the door to a sensational return recently.

Certainly, if Tolu did stick around then that would be quite the development after the drama with Mane.
