Reports of Arsenal’s interest in Ruben Neves have rumbled on throughout the summer.
The talk is that Granit Xhaka will join the Jose Mourinho revolution at Roma and the Gunners need someone to replace him.
A report by Portuguese outlet Record claims that Arsenal are already in negotiations to sign Neves.
But given he has a Molineux contract until 2024, they claim he won’t come cheap.

There has been talk of a £40 million fee for the Portuguese international.
That wouldn’t be easy for Arsenal to match, especially given they’re not in European competition next season.
And the report claims that Arsenal would turn their attention to his international teammate Renato Sanches if they can’t get Neves.
Sanches has also been linked with Wolves and would be a hugely impressive signing.

Neves is so vital for Wolves
Neves is a player who is only going to keep getting better – and he’s already been a huge part of their success in recent seasons.
Why would he swap Molineux for north London? Neither club is in Europe and he’s an established key player at Wolves.
It’s reassuring that Wolves won’t let him go on the cheap – that’s exactly the right approach.
The report claims negotiations are underway but a deal does not seem close at all and it would actually be a bit of a surprise if Arsenal actually found the money it’d take to land Neves.
