There will be big changes at Wolves this summer and Kieran Trippier has emerged as a target for the club ahead of their Championship campaign.
Wolves’ relegation was confirmed weeks ago after a dismal season and eyes are already on bouncing back at the first time of asking.
Would you back a free swoop for Kieran Trippier by Wolves this summer? 🤔
The club have now opened talks with the defender, who is leaving Newcastle…
As a result of dropping down a division, Wolves will undoubtedly offload many players.
It is paramount that the club recruit well this summer, and there simply cannot be a repeat of last year in terms of speed of operation and overlooking key requirements.
We’ve already had a link to Raul Jimenez this week.
And now, it seems Wolves are looking to sign another veteran in Kieran Trippier.
Wolves in Kieran Trippier talks

It’s been reported by the E&S that Wolves have now opened talks with Trippier about a potential free swoop this summer.
Trippier is leaving Newcastle United this summer when his contract expires, and he was given an amazing reception at the weekend by Toon fans during his final home game.
The E&S say Trippier has been sounded out by Wolves, but there is competition from other clubs. That rival interest is described as ‘intense’.
It is also mentioned that Wolves have been ‘in talks with several free agents’ ahead of the summer.
Trippier and Jimenez are both no-brainer signings
Wolves’ dressing room has lacked leadership this season, but the arrivals of Trippier and Jimenez would address this.
Both of these players are hugely experienced, and have shown leadership qualities in their careers.
Trippier has captained Newcastle plenty of times during his four-and-a-half years there, and has been widely viewed as one of their most influential signings since their takeover in 2021.
He has played 160 games for the Magpies, which is a superb return considering he joined the club at the age of 31.
Should Wolves make a move for Raul Jimenez this summer?! 👀
The former striker has opened the door to a sensational return with his contract about to expire at Fulham!
And his attacking returns of four goals and 29 assists are also impressive – four of those assists have come this season, indicating the veteran still has a fair bit of creativity about him.
Trippier can also provide cover at left-back, so this really would be a great move by Wolves.
But, as with Jimenez, wages could be an issue so the project will take some real selling by the Wolves hierarchy.
