Wolves are getting down to business after announcing Cesar Peixoto as their new head coach.

After a chaotic week last week, Peixoto is now officially at the helm at Molineux, having signed a two-year deal.

Who should Nathan Shi and Matt Jackson be looking to bring in at Wolves this summer? 🤔

Let's hear your suggestions – and they don't have to be any of the four players pictured!

Raul Jimenez, Kieran Trippier, Jordan James and Nikolas Polster are some of the early links ahead of the summer window opening…

He replaces Rob Edwards, who failed to convince Guo Guangchang he was the right man to take Wolves forward and get the club back into the Premier League.

The sacking was messy, but one that some do feel was the right call.

Wolves now have a lot of work to do. It has been a positive start to the summer with the additions of Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez.

And now, Wolves are going after a new target, with Jorge Mendes and Matt Jackson both out in the field.

According to Nathan Judah on X, Wolves are now focused on bringing in more targets, with Rodrigo Pinheiro in the club’s crosshairs.

Apparently, technical director Matt Jackson has flown out to Portugal to meet agent Jorge Mendes and Peixoto to plot ‘operation Premier League return’.

Mendes, of course, has a heavy association with Wolves and looks all set to play a big part in the club’s recruitment again this summer.

Judah adds: “Jorge Mendes is very much a huge cog in recruitment again and pushing strongly to get deal done with Portuguese right-back Rodrigo Pinheiro.

“Other clubs in the hunt, but Mendes going hard to make Wolves move first and only choice.”

Pinheiro plays for Famalicao, and made 29 appearances for the club in 2025/26.

He scored three goals and chipped in a couple of assists, and played just over 2500 minutes in total.

The interest in Pinheiro would strongly suggest that a right-sided player will be leaving.

Have Wolves made the right decision appointing Cesar Peixoto? 🤔

Wolves have just brought in Kieran Trippier, and also have Jackson Tchatchoua and Pedro Lima. Rodrigo Gomes is a further option, although if Wolves are ditching the wing-backs system he will play further forward.

Tchatchoua was highly disappointing in 2025/26 and it would be no surprise if he left this summer.

Tchatchoua has already had interest from clubs back in Italy, and Wolves will do very well to make back what they paid.
