There will be wholesale changes at Wolves this summer – and the future of Yerson Mosquera has been a point of discussion.
Wanderers will be very busy in the next window, after the club lost their Premier League status.
Wolves fans, talk to us about Yerson Mosquera…
Does his ability and potential make up for the chaos he brings? What kind of level do you see him reaching? 🤔
After an eight-year stay in the top-flight, Wolves will play in the Championship from 2026/27 – and all eyes will be on which players will leave.
It’s already been reported that Yerson Mosquera has been attracting attention from top-flight clubs.
The Colombian has brought his usual chaos this season but has arguably been one of the better performers for the Old Gold.
After the draw with Sunderland at the weekend, the defender may well have dropped a hint about his future.
Yerson Mosquera may have hinted at Wolves stay

After the game with Sunderland, Mosquera said: “I just want to say thank you for everything because they come with us everywhere.
“They support us and, of course, they are very frustrated, but we’re going to try our best, be our best self for them, and the result is not with us, but they need to believe in us.
“These are the next steps, the next season we want to try to push up again, but for now thank you, everyone.”
For Mosquera to mention next season and say ‘we’ may well suggest that he doesn’t intend to depart.
But that doesn’t mean that Wolves wouldn’t accept an offer if one that was big enough came in. It was actually claimed last week that Wolves had an agreement with Mosquera’s representatives to sell the player.
There has not yet been any word regarding a valuation or asking price for Mosquera.
But the club did sign him for just £4.5 million, and he has a contract until 2030, putting Wanderers in a strong position over the player.

But if he does end up staying then it’ll be a boost for Wolves.
Undoubtedly, Mosquera does still need to learn to keep his head in situations on the pitch. But he is tailor-made for the Championship, which is a physical league.
He has that in abundance, so hopefully, this hint that he’s dropped does indeed mean he’s ready to stay and help Wolves’ promotion bid.
