It is expected that Wolves will be having a very busy summer.
Wanderers finished 10th in the Premier League in 2021/22, and for many that feels like a disappointment.
Lots would have taken that at the start of the season.

But Wolves could have finished higher, losing form in a big way at the business end of the season.
Hopefully, the way the team tailed off will prompt the Wolves board to back Bruno Lage in the summer transfer window.
A couple of marquee names would be nice, but Wanderers should definitely also be looking at players from the three clubs that have just been relegated from the Premier League; Burney, Watford and Norwich.
Here are a few names that should be worth some consideration…
James Tarkowski (Centre-back, Burnley)
Tarkowski should be the player Wolves go for ahead of anyone else.
Wanderers’ defensively stability was completely lost during the last couple of months of 2021/22, and it will be very important to strengthen there this summer.
Tarkowski will be a free agent, making him an absolute no-brainer.

He’s great in the air, strong and can pass out from the back. He’s done a brilliant job in the Burnley backline for many years in the Premier League, and would be able to make an impact straight away.
He has interest from Aston Villa and Everton though, so Wolves would potentially need to get a move on.
The club were linked with the 29-year-old last summer.
Ismaila Sarr (Winger, Watford)
There is a very good chance Wolves will be heading into the 2022/23 season without Francisco Trincao and Adama Traore.
Therefore, Wolves will need to bring in another winger – and Ismaila Sarr could be a decent pick-up.
The Senegal star is very quick, tricky and direct.

He has been a standout player for the Hornets since his arrival at the club back in 2019.
Sarr’s 2021/22 season was hindered by a few injury problems, and he was limited to just 22 appearances. And he scored only five goals.
But there’s no doubt he is a Premier League-quality player. It’s likely Watford would sell – and maybe Wolves ought to test the waters.
The star has previously stated he idolises his international teammate Sadio Mane, and has tried to learn from the Liverpool ace by watching videos of him (via BBC Sport).
Josh Brownhill (Central midfielder, Burnley)
Like his teammate Tarkowski, Brownhill has actually been linked with a move to Wolves.
Ruben Neves looks to have played his final season at Molineux. And it’s possible that Joao Moutinho could also leave. That said, the club are trying to agree a contract extension with the veteran.
Leander Dendoncker has also been linked with an exit.
Brownhill is by no means a technically-gifted player with fancy footwork.

But he is industrious, tenacious and steely. And his knack for pressing is something that could make a very good fit for Wolves under Lage.
If Wolves were able to bring him in, and a big name who can bring goals and assists, then that would certainly have the midfield pool of options looking a bit healthier.
