Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be considering a move for James Tarkowski.
The Telegraph have reported today that Wolves are still in the market for a centre-half following the capture of youngster Yerson Mosquera last week.
Apparently Burnley rock Tarkowski appeals.
West Ham United are also said to be in the mix.
The 28-year-old is about to head into the final year of his contract at Turf Moor.
Therefore, there is potential for the Clarets to entertain offers this summer.
Tarkowski has been with Burnley since the summer of 2016.
The Englishman has been a wonderful acquisition for Sean Dyche.
Tarkowski has clocked up 182 appearances so far, with 159 of those coming in the Premier League.
Tarkowski would make an excellent signing for Wolves
This is a transfer link Wolves fans should be getting behind.
Maybe he isn’t the most glamorous name, but there is no denying Tarkowski’s quality.
The star is just an out-and-out defender. He’s good in the air, firm in the tackle and he’s actually fairly decent on the ball.
What’s more, he’s very durable. Since the start of the 2018/19 season, he’s played in all but five Premier League games for Burnley.
It is remarkable how he’s only accrued two England caps to date – perhaps that’s due to not playing for a bigger club.
Quite simply, Tarkowski would be a fantastic addition for Wolves.
He’d no doubt shore things up at the back and, given his contract situation, it’s likely he wouldn’t cost an absolute fortune.
