Wolves transfer target Goncalo Guedes has suggested he will sit down and discuss his options at the end of the season.
The Valencia attacker has spoken about his immediate future, amid more speculation linking him with a move to Molineux.
Guedes has been in superb form this season.
He’s hit 13 goals so far, and also laid on six assists.
He has been a standout player for Jose Bordalas, in what has been a pretty average campaign for Valencia as a collective.
His contributions have led to more speculation that Wolves are ready to make a move for the player this summer.
At the end of last month, Calciomercato reported that Valencia were willing to let him go this summer.
But apparently they do want to recover what they initially paid for him, which was around £33 million.
But Jornal de Noticias reported that Guedes would actually cost around £17 million, which is considerably less than Valencia’s initial outlay.
But what does Guedes have to say about a potential transfer this summer?
He told Deportes Cope Valencia (via Birmingham Mail): “I’m focused on being at Valencia.
“Now we have the [Copa del Rey] final, we have more matches in La Liga with which we can finish higher in the table.
“When the season is over, I will talk to my people, to the club. If there is a good proposal for me, and it is also good for the club, we have to look at it.
“Right now, I’m very focused on Valencia and I want to stay here.”
Encouraging comments from Goncalo Guedes as Wolves reportedly eye summer swoop
It sounds as though the player is ready to entertain interest from other clubs this summer.
That is good news for Wolves, who would be making a great decision bringing in Guedes.
A recent feature from Squawka described Guedes as ‘a tireless worker’ and a ‘progressive carrier and passer’.
One gets the feeling that such traits make him absolutely ideal for Bruno Lage. He is also very versatile and so, he’d likely make for a solid addition.
