Yet another Premier League player has talked up Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traore.
Southampton striker Che Adams has filmed a video on the Premier League’s official YouTube channel, and commented on the Spanish winger’s blistering pace.
The Saints star – who has seven goals so far this season – participated in the series that sees people build their ‘Ultimate Teammate’ using categories corresponding to the attributes on Ultimate Team cards in the FIFA video game franchise.
Adams didn’t need to think much for the ‘Pace’ attribute.
He said: “I think it’s got to be Adama Traore. It has to be, surely.
“He’s rapid, and he’s a monster at the same time.”
Traore may not have had his greatest season in 2020/21, but the compliments have still come thick and fast from his fellow professionals.
Trent Alexander-Arnold admitted Traore has previously made him feel powerless, while Aaron Cresswell recently stated he’s never been able to keep up with him and that he doesn’t know how to stop him.
Ezri Konsa also praised Traore for having improved his dribbling this season.
Traore must soon earn new kind of praise
It is little surprise to see another player in awe of Traore’s pace and power.
The £18 million star (BBC Sport) will likely continue to draw such compliments, but really he now needs to be earning recognition for being a goalscorer and/or creative force.
Admittedly he’s been robbed of a lot of assists this season, but Traore’s focus should be on becoming a little more prolific – something he’s never truly been so far in his career.
