Fans were left delighted last week when Kieran Trippier signed on a free transfer – and a new social media post from the defender is sure to go down well.
Trippier was the first signing of the summer, signing a two-year deal last week having wound down his contract at Newcastle United.
The move raised a lot of eyebrows, with many feeling Trippier is still good enough to play in the top-flight despite his advancing years.
It’s official, Kieran Trippier is a Wolf! 🚨 How important a signing will he be for the club?
The full-back is the first addition of the summer for the Old Gold… 🐺
Trippier did have other offers, but was drawn to the Wolves project.
Seemingly Rob Edwards played a big role in convincing him to sign, and it is perhaps a little awkward now that he’s been sacked.
But reports Trippier is thinking of ripping up his contract are said to be wide of the mark – and actually, Trippier seems very ready for the new season already.

As well as the fact he’s still a good player, Wolves have brought in Trippier for his leadership and professionalism.
Those things were in short supply last season as Wolves finished bottom of the Premier League table, and there will be a conscious effort this summer to bring in players who will take responsibility, and are the right characters.
Trippier is widely regarded for his professionalism.
And that has already been on show in some new photos he’s uploaded on social media.
Trippier has posted several photos on his Instagram Story of him doing some warm weather training. In the first of the posts, he tagged 292 Performance, which is a company that helps footballers with individualised coaching.
Their bio states that they are currently based in Majorca, and their camp is set up to help players prepare for pre-season.
That Trippier has enlisted their help just further underlines the professionalism we know he has.
His contract hasn’t technically even started yet, but here he is already setting the standard from afar.
Who should Nathan Shi and Matt Jackson be looking to bring in at Wolves this summer? 🤔
Let's hear your suggestions – and they don't have to be any of the four players pictured!
The veteran knows that it could be a gruelling season and he therefore needs to start work on his conditioning now if he is to thrive.
But of course, there’s also the optics of this.
Any of his new teammates seeing this may now look to follow suit and that could only be a positive.
