Wolves transfer news: Wolves interested in Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun

Balogun has hit an impressive 19 goals in 31 games for the club so far.

He has been a regular in their team. Supposedly, he has his sights set on being the main man back at Arsenal.

But that may not be something Mikel Arteta can promise, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah both competing for minutes at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have also been linked with a lot strikers.

Balogun will only have one year left on his contract at Arsenal in the summer.

It could therefore be that Arsenal are forced to sell while his value is still relatively high.

Wolves are keen, but they are not the only club showing interest right now. Apparently, Brentford, Leicester City, Everton and Crystal Palace have all liked what they have seen this season.

And the interest extends beyond the Premier League. RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt, Union Berlin, Marseille, Nice, Lyon, Villarreal and Sevilla are all also mentioned.

90min add that there is a rumoured price tag of £30 million on Balogun.

Wolves could potentially be losing Raul Jimenez and Diego Costa this summer.

Jimenez has been linked with an exit from Molineux throughout the season. And Costa’s contract expires in the summer, and it’s possible Wolves may let the veteran go.

Wolves shouldn’t make Folarin Balogun move unless Fabio Silva is extending his loan spell at PSV

This is an interesting transfer link.

Balogun is hot property at the moment. That is understandable given he’s competing for the Golden Boot in Ligue 1 alongside the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Jonathan David.

He’s clearly a huge talent.

Wolves should indeed be keeping tabs on him.

But maybe this should only be pursued if Fabio Silva isn’t going to return to Molineux ahead of next season.

There has been some talk about him extending his loan spell with PSV Eindhoven. And the player has made some comments to suggest he would quite happily stay.

If Wolves bring Silva back, then there would be less of a need for Balogun since he is a similar age and experience level.
