Wolves transfer news: Nelson Semedo wanted by Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma

Wolves full-back Nelson Semedo has reportedly emerged as a target for Jose Mourinho AS Roma.

SPORT have claimed the former Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United manager is looking to instigate a revolution at the Italian club.

Mourinho supposedly admires what Semedo brings to the table, particularly his attacking qualities.

Wolves would supposedly ask for around £15 million for any transfer.

It is expected that Wanderers will move to extend Semedo’s contract soon at Molineux.

The 29-year-old’s current deal is expiring in the summer.

But the club have an option to extend it by two years.

Semedo is a player who has really improve since the arrival of Julen Lopetegui at the club.

He was very shaky in the first half of the season and at times, a liability.

But he has really knuckled down and in recent weeks he has been one of Wolves’ best performers.

SPORT’s report states that Roma are not willing to enter into any bidding war for Semedo.

It is unclear how much they would be willing to pay for the star, who has 24 caps for Portugal.

Wolves shouldn’t sell Nelson Semedo unless a big offer comes in, amid interest from AS Roma

So Mourinho’s Roma appear to be keen on Semedo – but Wolves should be looking to stand firm this summer.

Firstly, his contract needs extending.

Then Wolves must stand firm over Semedo. He is a great full-back on his day and brings a lot of experience.

The club should not be looking to offload him, unless a big offer comes in.

If one comes in around the £29 million mark, which is how much Wolves initially paid Barcelona to sign him, then perhaps that would be worth considering.

But anything below that should be dismissed.
