The club kicked things off with Matheus Cunha, and followed him up with Mario Lemina.

Sarabia is reportedly going to have his medical today and will become the club’s third addition.

Fans have been wondering what’s happening with Flamengo midfielder Joao Gomes.

Last week, it was reported that Wolves and Flamengo were close to an agreement. The player was set to fly to England and on Sunday, Fabrizio Romano reported that he was to fly in that evening.

But journalist Vene Casagrande, who first reported the Gomes news, said yesterday that he was still in Brazil.

And now talkSPORT’s Alex Crook has said of the situation: “Still working on Joao Gomes, but not as close as has been suggested in some quarters.”

It comes after Wolves actually released footage of Mario Lemina’s first day at Compton.

In the video, Lemina is on his way for his medical and talkSPORT’s Crook can be heard on the radio talking about the interest in Gomes.

It seemed an interesting thing to include, and surely suggested that something is in the offing.

Wolves fans should trust that the Joao Gomes deal will get done

Some fans on social media are getting a little worried that the Gomes deal will fall through.

But they should have faith.

Just because things seem to be different now. It has been a positive January so far, and you have the likes of Matt Hobbs, Fran Garagarza and Lopetegui himself all endeavoring to improve the squad.

Wolves will not want another repeat of the Enzo Fernandez situation.

The fact they included that little teaser in the Lemina video is surely significant as well.

That was a bold thing to do if there was any jeopardy over the deal. They knew what they were doing with that and knew fans would talk about it.
