Wolves transfer news: Hirving Lozano tipped to make Molineux move

Wolves are being linked with a move for Napoli winger Hirving Lozano.

TV Azteca have reported the Mexico international could be set to leave the club this summer, when he will only have a year left on his contract.

It is stated Lozano is looking for a new experience after four years with Napoli.

The player stands to become a league champion today. Napoli face Salernitana and if they win and Lazio fail to beat Inter Milan, the Scudetto will be theirs.

A potential move to Wolves is talked up, with Lozano being represented by Unique Sports Group, and agency that already apparently looks after seven current Molineux stars.

Lozano, an international teammate of Raul Jimenez, has made 38 appearances across all competitions so far this term. He has scored four goals and made four assists.

Potentially, Wolves will have need for a new winger or two this summer.

Adama Traore looks very likely to leave Molineux, with his contract expiring at the end of the season. There has been no movement on an extension, and the player’s lack of minutes lately do point to his exit.

Pedro Neto is reportedly on Arsenal’s radar again heading into the summer.

Hwang Hee-chan was linked with Borussia Monchengladbach earlier this season.

And then there’s Daniel Podence, who will only have one year left on his contract in the summer. He hasn’t been linked with an exit, but Wolves may be open to selling if a good offer comes in.

Wolves would be taking a risk signing Hirving Lozano

It will be very interesting to see if Wolves make an approach for Lozano this summer.

The 27-year-old hasn’t really lived up to expectation since joining the Italian club from PSV Eindhoven in 2019.

He’s scored 30 goals and made 17 assists in 130 appearances for the club, which is not a particularly brilliant return.

Ultimately, the goal output needs to increase significantly at Wolves. It has been poor for some time now at Molineux.

When it comes to signing forwards, there needs to be a focus on bringing in proven goalscorers.
