Crystal Palace reportedly think Aaron Wan-Bissaka will choose them over Wolves.
The full-back has been linked with an exit from Manchester United this month, following a lack of involvement under Erik ten Hag in 2022/23.
Wan-Bissaka barely featured for the Red Devils before the World Cup.
But since Premier League football returned, Wan-Bissaka has been playing, with Diogo Dalot currently injured.
And Wan-Bissaka has actually turned in some good displays, including against Wolves at Molineux recently.
It is thought the Englishman is a player on Lopetegui’s radar this month.
But Wolves are facing competition for the player, who could yet remain where he is following comments by ten Hag that he has a future at Old Trafford.
Crystal Palace are thought to be interested in re-signing the 25-year-old.
And according to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, the Eagles think he’s more likely to choose them than Wolves.
He told Give Me Sport: “In terms of Wan-Bissaka, I know Wolves are very keen but Crystal Palace feel that if he goes anywhere, he will go back there.
“But I think United would need to bring in a right-back as cover because Dalot has been injured since the World Cup. To be fair, Wan-Bissaka has taken his chance quite well.”
Wan-Bissaka left Selhurst Park in 2019, with United forking out £50 million for the defender.
Last night again showed that Wolves could do with Wan-Bissaka, but Crystal Palace are big threat
There is no doubt about it – Wolves have got to strengthen at right-back this month.
Nelson Semedo had another poor outing last night against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.
Wan-Bissaka has been showing his quality in recent weeks. He’d be a good signing for Wolves and make the backline more solid at least.
It seems like Palace are genuine contenders to sign him though.
Wan-Bissaka will have seen how Wilfried Zaha headed back to Selhurst Park after he also struggled at United. That was a great decision by the winger, and Wan-Bissaka may wish for a similar outcome.
