Wolves have potentially done something quite smart amid new Marshall Munetsi claim

Marshall Munetsi looks as though he’ll leave Wolves this summer, but currently it’s unclear where he’ll end up.

The midfielder departed Molineux in the mid-season window to join Paris FC on loan, after he’d failed to prove his worth to Rob Edwards.

Is anyone really surprised by Vitor Pereira wanting Marshall Munetsi at Nottingham Forest? 😅

The claim comes after Munetsi had talked up joining Paris FC permanently…

How much should Wolves be looking to sell MM for? 🤔

Marshall Munetsi had long been criticised by supporters for his performances, with many feeling he had lacked influence.

So he headed back to France – and for Paris FC he’s had a pretty good time so far. In 14 games he’s scored four goals and provided two assists.

Yesterday, reports emerged that Nottingham Forest were in for Munetsi and that an agreement in principle was close.

Following that, an interesting claim has been made today about the situation.

Wolves accused of leaking Marshall Munetsi talks with Nottingham Forest

Jeunes Footeux have suggested that Paris FC actually feel that Wolves have leaked the information about Munetsi and Forest to try and get them to respond.

It’s stated that Paris FC’s move to get Munetsi signed up permanently is currently only at the ’embryonic’ stage.

They think that Wolves are trying to force Paris to speed up.

If Paris are right, and it is actually is true that Wolves have leaked this information, then it actually is a fairly smart play.

Assuming that an agreement between Wolves and Forest is indeed close, then Paris will surely need to spring into action to avoid missing out.

But it has to be said, Munetsi did talk up life at Paris last month and it’s thought that he would like to turn his loan move permanent.

So Munetsi still making that move can definitely not be ruled out.

But the arrival on the scene of Forest does make things a little more interesting.

Paris FC’s owners are among the richest in world football and so, if they’re put into a position whereby they need to bump up their offer for Munetsi, then that likely won’t be a problem.

Of course at the moment, we don’t know the kind of money it will take for Wolves to sell Munetsi.

He cost the Old Gold around £16 million from Reims, so hopefully the club will recoup as much of that initial outlay as possible.
