There will be big changes at Wolves this summer – but it currently remains to be seen what will happen with Sasa Kalajdzic.
The Austrian striker played the 2025/26 season on loan at LASK, where he would hopefully spend the campaign injury-free and get decent amount of minutes into his legs.
Should any of these NOT be on this list? And are there any who aren’t there who SHOULD be on? 🤔
The Athletic have claimed Wolves would like these nine players to stay after relegation…
He managed to do both of those things, making 27 appearances for the club for a total of 1716 minutes.
And it was a productive campaign for Sasa Kalajdzic in front of goal, scoring seven goals and making an impressive 11 assists as he helped his side to win the league and cup double.
And his efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Wolves striker Sasa Kalajdzic wanted by Schalke

It’s been reported by OE 24 that Kalajdzic has now emerged as a target for Schalke, who have just been promoted back to the Bundesliga.
He is said to be ‘a hot topic’ for Miron Muslic, Schalke’s Austrian head coach.
Information other than that is thin on the ground, but this is a move that could well tempt Kalajdzic, who used to play for Stuttgart.
He has experience playing in the Bundesliga before and has scored 22 goals in 56 games in the competition.
He’ll come back to Wolves this summer to hold talks with the club no doubt, and it’ll be intriguing to see what happens.
He only has a year left on his contract so Wanderers may well be thinking about cashing in and trying to make as much of the £15 million back that they initially paid to sign him.
But Rob Edwards may well feel he can get some use out of him.
The concern may be, though, that the Championship is very demanding and there are a lot of games.

Kalajdzic’s injury history is well documented, and it is perhaps doubtful that he could be Wolves’ regular starter next season.
But he’s had some really good performances over in Austria and rediscovered his scoring mojo in 2025/26 – even scoring one goal from inside his own half last month.
Kalajdzic is heading to the World Cup with Austria as a result of his improved form, so perhaps there won’t be any movement with him until after the tournament.
