Wolverhampton Wanderers are expecting a bid to come in from Tottenham Hotspur for winger Adama Traore.
According to the Daily Mail, the club are very much braced for Spurs and Nuno Espirito Santo to come calling for the Spaniard.
As everyone knows, Harry Kane is currently the subject of interest from Manchester City.
It is claimed that Wolves are expecting the north Londoners to pursue Traore if the England captain completes a move to the Etihad Stadium.
Just at the moment, there doesn’t seem to be much movement on that.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is standing firm over the 28-year-old.
The Independent suggest the saga could go right to the wire.
One would imagine that if the £150 million-rated Kane does go to City but right at the end of the window, then Wolves would be more likely to reject any Spurs bid for Traore.
Wolves should rebuff Tottenham unless a huge offer is made
Wolves should be looking to keep hold of Traore.
He was brilliant against Leicester City and will be even more key in Pedro Neto’s absence.
Spurs might sell Kane and may well come knocking for Traore.
Really, Wolves should only sell for a massive sum – one that easily eclipses the Diogo Jota to Liverpool fee.
If Spurs came in with such an offer right at the end of window though, then Wolves probably shouldn’t be tempted – unless a replacement has already been brought in.
