Wolves reportedly feel relaxed about the immediate future of Francisco Trincao.
Yesterday, there were claims that new Barcelona manager Xavi wanted to recall the winger from his loan spell at Molineux.
It seems the legendary former midfielder is keen to shake things up at the Nou Camp.
They have had a tough start in La Liga, and are currently 11 points off leaders Real Sociedad.
Apparently Xavi is curious about bringing Trincao back from Wolves, whom he has played nine games for so far.
But Wolves are apparently ‘relaxed’ about the situation, as they know they hold all the cards.
The Shropshire Star report no recall option was included in the deal that took Trincao to Molineux.
Barcelona would, therefore, have to re-negotiate with Wolves. At this stage, there is no suggestion Wolves would entertain any talks.
Wolves need to be keeping Trincao
The picture could well change in a couple of months from now.
But as things currently stand, Wolves need to be keeping Trincao for the full season as per the original agreement.
Bruno Lage is working with a small squad.
Adama Traore might leave in January, and there is no telling how Pedro Neto will fare once he returns from his injury.
Trincao has lots of room to improve, but he’s done fairly well so far in a new league.
Following his performance against Manchester United in August, ex-Barcelona striker Gary Lineker praised Trincao, branding him ‘a very promising young player.’
In time, he could make a real impact.
