Some Wolves fans believe Adama Traore could leave the club in January.

The Spanish winger was left on the bench last night, as the team ran out 2-1 winners over Everton at Molineux.

My Revenge On Ben Foster

It was a brilliant first-half display from Wolves.

They dominated possession and played some beautiful stuff, with players continually finding space between the lines.

Everton had no answers, and were lucky to go in at half-time only 2-0 down.

The Toffees improved after the break though, and it was a nervy finish for Wolves.

Alex Iwobi pulled one back for the visitors, and that goal rather knocked Wolves off their stride.

It was at this point some people were calling for Traore to come on.

But Lage refrained, instead turning to Daniel Podence later on in the game.

Leander Dendoncker and Fabio Silva were the final changes, meaning Traore did not get on.

It was very interesting that Lage didn’t turn to a player who is so obviously capable of stretching tired legs.

He could well have helped Wolves restore their two-goal lead.

Some Wolves fans think Traore is set to leave

Wolves fans know that Traore has less than two years on his contract.

In the summer, he was frequently linked away, with Tottenham Hotspur supposedly the most keen club.

Just lately, Traore has lost his nailed-on starter status. One wonders if the player doesn’t plan to extend and Lage is already planning for life after the 25-year-old.

It has certainly all gone quiet recently regarding his contract situation.

Some Wolves fans think Traore could be set to leave the club in January, before his value really plummets:
