Tottenham Hotspur apparently want to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers star Adama Traore on loan.
That is the word from Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas today.
Spurs have started to become more heavily linked with the Spaniard in recent weeks.
It was claimed by AS earlier this week that Spurs could be set to make a late bid for the player.
It is little surprise to be reading about interest from Spurs, who are obviously managed by Nuno Espirito Santo now.
Nuno regularly praised Traore during his time at Molineux. He branded him ‘special and unique’ back in March.
It is quite the claim that Spurs would try to sign Traore on loan.
Traore is obviously one of Wolves’ best and most influential players.
And he becomes even more important with Pedro Neto on the sidelines for the foreseeable future.
There is surely no way
It would make zero sense for Wolves to loan Traore out.
If he is going to leave in the next 10 days, it would need to be a permanent move for big money, given he does only have two years left on his contract.
A loan move doesn’t help Wolves out in any way.
Bruno Lage would be losing a key player without securing a transfer fee to spend on a replacement.
Should this go through, questions must be asked of Fosun.
It surely doesn’t happen.
