Pedro Lima is a player Wolves have reportedly been keen to keep – but negotiations are now reportedly underway for his exit.
Pedro Lima has come into the Wolves starting XI in the last couple of weeks, being preferred to Jackson Tchatchoua.
The Brazilian, brought back from his loan at Porto in January, had been in and around the squad but has been given some opportunities recently by Rob Edwards, amid the continued poor form of Tchatchoua.
Should any of these NOT be on this list? And are there any who aren’t there who SHOULD be on? 🤔
The Athletic have claimed Wolves would like these nine players to stay after relegation…
It’s been a difficult adaptation though for young Lima.
Against Brighton at the weekend he struggled against Kaoru Mitoma, who is a seasoned Premier League winger.
These are important games though for Lima, as Wolves look ahead to next season in the Championship.
However, it could be that Lima actually moves on.
Shakhtar Donetsk in talks to sign Pedro Lima from Wolves

According to Ukrainian outlet Sport.ua, Shakhtar Donetsk could now sign Lima from Wolves.
The parties are said to be negotiating over his potential transfer, which would see Lima leave Molineux just two years after arriving from Sport Recife.
Supposedly Shakhtar are getting closer to agreeing a deal.
But there is not much more information beyond that.
Shakhtar are likely to appeal to Lima, because they have just won the Ukrainian Premier League as a result of their 4-0 win over Poltava.
They have been crowned league champions for the 16th time in their history, and will be playing in the Champions League in 2026/27.
Shakhtar have a history of signing Brazilian players. Indeed, as per a report from ESPN earlier this year, Shakhtar has signed a whopping 47 Brazilians – who have scored more than 1,000 goals combined for them – since 2002.
Their love of players from the South American nation is thought to stem from president Rinat Akhmetov’s fondness for the country’s flamboyant football style.

Wolves have wanted to keep Lima
The claim comes after it was reported that Lima was one of nine players Wolves particularly wanted to keep after being relegated.
Edwards’ increased use of the player in recent weeks has perhaps been a further indicator of that, but seemingly there is now some doubt about him sticking around.
Edwards has praised Lima and his potential previously, saying: “He’ll be taking a lot on board at the moment, getting used to England and what the demands are here. But he’s certainly someone who athletically is very good and technically gifted as well.”
“He just has things to learn in-game, which is normal for any 19-year-old. They’re going to make mistakes, they’ve got lots to learn, but it’s really exciting as well when we’ve got some good young players in the building.”

If Lima does depart, it’ll be interesting to see how much he’ll be sold for. Wolves landed him for about £8.5 million and there will surely be a desire to at least make their money back.
It’s also going to be intriguing to see if a Lima exit would have any kind of significance for Tchatchoua.
But given the criticism of him throughout the season, the Cameroon international may still depart – Bologna are said to be eyeing Tchatchoua at the moment.
