Pablo Sarabia picks out Ruben Neves as the Wolves player who has impressed him the most

Wolves winger Pablo Sarabia has been speaking about Ruben Neves, and admitted the midfielder makes the whole team tick.

Sarabia has been with Wolves for just over a month now, after joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain in January.

The Spaniard has been finding his feet in the Premier League, and recently scored his first goal for the club against Fulham.

Sarabia has been a regular in the starting XI under Julen Lopetegui, who recently stated that the 30-year-old has been a positive addition to the dressing room.

Sarabia has conducted a wide ranging interview with the Express & Star.

He has spoken about his decision to join the club and also the influence Lopetegui had on his decision.

Sarabia also had some kind words to say about Neves.

The Portuguese maestro is having another brilliant season for Wolves and has really made an impression on Wolves’ new recruit.

Sarabia said: “He’s a very good player and a very good person too.

“When I arrived here he helped me a lot, with the team and other things at the club.

“He’s a very good player. He sees the game and has great vision.

“We need Ruben in the middle because he makes the whole team tick. He’s very important for us.”

Neves has been an incredible servant for Wolves since joining the club in 2017 for around £16 million from FC Porto.

Some fear this could be his last season at Molineux.

He was expected to leave last summer, but seemingly no suitable bids were forthcoming in the end.

It is hardly a surprise that Sarabia has picked out Neves as a player who has really impressed him at Wolves.

For a long time now Neves has been Wanderers’ best player. And this season, we have seen him really grow into a top leader as well.

Quite simply, he is going to be a gargantuan loss if he leaves the club this summer.

Maybe it is not out of the question he could sign an extension.

But given he was expected to go last summer, it does feel a little unlikely.

Neves is easily a Champions League-quality player and it’s possible many clubs will be circling him this summer when he’ll only have one year left on his contract.
