Mariano Diaz’s agent says his client has offers on the table, with Wolves recently linked

The agent of Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz has claimed his client has several offers on the table, with Wolves having been linked.

The 29-year-old is leaving the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

Mariano has really struggled for minutes this season.

He has made just eight appearances all season for the Spanish giants, for a total of just 51 minutes on the pitch.

He has often missed out on matchday squads, indicating Carlo Ancelotti just doesn’t rate him over other options.

Mariano’s contract with Real is expiring at the end of the season and he will not be renewing.

His agent David Aranda has been speaking about what could be next for his client, and revealed there are already some offers on the table.

He told Bolavip: “Every three months we have contact with other teams. In the end he has always been on the market. His profile, characteristics and trajectory are always very appetising.

“We have possibilities of going to the Premier League, the Bundesliga, Calcio or other teams. I don’t talk about the market with Mariano.

When Julen Lopetegui first arrived at Wolves, there were claims he was keen to bring Mariano to Molineux.

It was suggested he actually wanted to sign him while he was manager at Sevilla, too. The Spaniard got to work with him during his time as head coach at the Bernabeu. Seemingly he was quite fond of him, handing him eight appearances.

It remains to be seen if anything happens regarding a move for Mariano by Wolves.

Staying in the Premier League will obviously be very important if there is any desire to sign him. He would not want to play in the Championship when he supposedly has offers from the Bundesliga and Serie A.

Mariano Diaz needs a fresh start, and he might get one at Wolves

Mariano’s second spell at Real has not gone well.

He just hasn’t been able to get a run in the team, which is no real surprise given the quality of Karim Benzema.

But he showed his own quality during his time at Lyon.

For the French club, he scored 21 goals in 48 appearances, and provided six assists.

It’s possible both Raul Jimenez and Diego Costa could both be moving on at the end of the season. So there would be need for another striker at Molineux and Lopetegui might fancy bringing Mariano in to compete with Fabio Silva and Sasa Kalajdzic.
